The Tavern

An open-edition collection for spaces that gather people.

In Hafiz's poetry, the tavern is not a place of excess — it is the place where the door is never closed. Where the cup goes around the circle, where strangers become guests, and where light is poured generously rather than rationed. That is the spirit of this collection.

The Tavern is PureHue's dedicated collection for commercial and hospitality projects. Every piece begins as an original painting by our artists in Tehran. A macro lens then moves close — into the ridge of a brushstroke, the pooling of pigment, the fracture of dried color — until what emerges reads as landscape: a river at dawn, a garden after rain, a rose ablaze. Nature, found — not depicted. Three women artists, working across three countries, one studio.

Art in a commercial space is never neutral. It sets the emotional temperature of a room before a word is spoken. The Tavern was composed with this in mind — twenty-two works that move across a full emotional range, so a curator or designer can score a property the way a composer scores a film.
